baba cool Williamsburg

baba cool is one of my new favorite restaurants/cafes in Williamsburg that’s perfect for so many things - a chill brunch, coffee date, laptop work, fun drinks, dinner, and even some bocce ball on their outdoor court. The space really lives up to the “cool” part of its name. They also have a window where you can order a coffee and pastry to go. If Fort Greene’s more convenient for you, you can check out the original baba cool there.

What to eat

They make large, clean bowls that are both nutritious and filling. Some are plant-based and some have meat, so there’s something for everyone. The Asada bowl (brisket, cheddar eggs, avocado, salad) is incredible, and if you want a meatless version, try out adding salad and avocado to the “Eggs + Toast” plate. I also added smoked salmon to my Eggs + Toast plate and couldn’t recommend it enough.

What to drink

You can’t miss on the drinks. They make a great Bloody Mary if you’re looking for a cocktail. I also love the dirty chai latte - not too sweet and just the right amount of chai.
